Day 1 [26/02/2018] #Jacquemus
What a start to Paris Fashion Week. Transported to ‘Le Souk’ on a Moroccan summer’s night, Simon Porte Jacquemus had us all mesmerised by the autumnal shades of brown, green & orange & the deep wintry tones of black and blue.
It’s no surprise that his remarkable talent is now extending to Menswear! With the beauty of Ellen Rosa gracing the catwalk in a soft gold draped maxi dress
and Amilna Estevão in a tailored crepe khaki number,
the Autumn/Winter 2018 Ready-To-Wear collection explored both soft and profound structures with ‘draping’ as the repeated theme throughout. The tailored two piece suit, worn effortlessly by Subaj Koj, was accessorised with Jacquemus’ signature extra-large sun hat
and one of my personal favourites was the asymmetric cape coat styled as a dress by Ellen Rosa
Jacquemus cleverly created a dream of looks in an array of deepened colours and fabrics to not only prepare us for the Fall season, but to build a wardrobe of inspiration for the summer nights ahead. I’m excited for what day 2 will bring.
