With #Coachella around the corner kicking off the festival season, I’ve created 10 key looks for your 2018 Festival Wardrobe;

Her Nautical 70s Dream

I wanted to take it back to the 70s in nautical style, with a pair of silk pleated Talbot Runhof’s flares. Detailed with front flap pockets and statement belt loops, I stuck to a monochrome theme by complementing it with a white off-the-shoulder top from the Cushnie et Ochs SS18 collection. Its puffed sleeves speaks volumes particularly on baring shoulders and black and white Lele Sadoughi drop earrings, I colour-coordinated this look with a yellow cuff bracelet and a classic fisherman cap by Brixton.

 Her Patent Pleasure

I created this look, playful in patent, with a choice of lighter fabrics in a khaki cold-shoulder shirt by Italist.com and a 3.1 Phillip Lim cotton and linen mini skirt. The slogan trend continues with the ‘FLORAL PRINT HERE’ statement across the left side of the shirt. I wanted to continue this strong feminine style with a mini-backpack and calf-leather lace-up boots by Chloé. The biker-inspired look wouldn’t be complete without an Alexander Wang brass curb bracelet and a pair of Bold 1 thick Saint Laurent sunglasses. Its festival season, so the #minimalstreetstyle had to feature with a white tweed fedora hat to protect you from the harmful sunrays but still give you that glow!

Knotted in Caramel

When Hobbs goes Safari with the Brown Becca dress in linen, it was only fair I explored the colour range in tones of brown and honey. From North Africa to Ancient Greece, slide your feet into these hand-made flat thong sandals by Ancient Greek Sandals. I’ve embraced the SS18 trend of the basket bag with this Serpui Summer Handbag in a natural camel colour. With a touch of string tassels and lattice details, this compact bag is perfect for those all important bag essentials; mirror, check, lippie, check, phone, check. With this look, it is all about the accessories. I’m forever loving this season’s earrings by Mango, so much so, I chose the drop style in metallic gold, teamed perfectly with the ‘Oh My Woodness’ Sundarbans on a messy ponytail tamed by the Rosetta Getty tobacco turban. Envisage being ‘Knotted in Caramel’ as the sun sets over the festival grounds.

In Her Festival Whites

Festival in whites can be risky but that is all part of the fun! Keeping it minute with distressed white shorts by Hudson Jeans and a lace bralet, this fresh look is perfect for the good weather antics of this year’s festivals. Who said sock boots had to be a winter thing? With these Fendi Rockoko booties and the bamboo tote bag, all eyes will be on you girl! Keeping the accessories in line with the gold tones of the Amber Sceats necklace and the Victoria Beckham sunglasses, it won’t only be your sun-kissed skin that’ll be ravishing in gold. Finally, I’ve layered this look with a floral print off-the-shoulder blouse from Pretty Little Thing, so that the lace details of the bralet are still on show.

Cannes you see me?

Who said swimsuits were only for the beach? Picture yourself basking in the Californian sunshine, sipping on a chilled Colorado Cooler whilst the sound of harmonious music plays into your ears….divine! This Kiini Wren piece, with its crochet details crafted in army-green, is perfect for festival moments like this. Tucked into a Tibi Agathe pair of culottes, creates the bodysuit obsession! The deep plunge of the swimsuit leaves a seductive space for your glowing skin especially when rested on by a Y-shaped gold-tone lariat necklace. With the crochet details of the suit, I didn’t want it to be disturbed by a bag strap, so I opted for an A.L.C. Baby Charlie belt bag, complementing the shades of green, gold and ivory colours perfectly. In awe of these Loeffler Randal mules in an artisan woven fabric, fits narrowly at the toe to create a flattering, feminine look for all feet shapes. The finishing touches to this look comes from the Cannes-style sunhat by Lola Hats and the forest green shades from Gucci. Cannes you see me?

‘Handle With Care’

With leather as a key SS18 trend, this fabric-driven look had to make an appearance in my top 10. In bright orange, the mini A-line skirt by Heron Preston creates a statement as ‘HANDLE WITH CARE’ is plastered across its front. To soften the look, I styled this piece with a basic crop tee in white, a collaboration by Hanes x Karla. My Off-White obsession had to feature with a leather tote to continue the industrial-inspired message with ‘SCULPTURE’ in bold black pint. Dominating this season’s trends, I had to jump on the bandwagon!

At Your Athleisure

Sweats on Stripes with this look as I felt a little cosy in a high neck crop sweat jumper against a striped tulle skirt. Closely considering the colours, I wanted the gleaming yellow to play a huge a part in this look. The Rosegal skirt with a mini lining is perfect as the sun sets after a day of festival activities. As you gather around the fire, content and merry on the escapades, I teamed the midi skirt with Derek Lam’s thick wooden platforms, to give it that perfect height. I love the brown-lensed Marni shades which complement the equestrian-inspired Mulberry handbag, again in a gleaming yellow tone. This look is flawless as you head into the evening festivities.

Howdy Cutie!

Fringe, Fringe, Fringe from the Wild, Wild West is the signature festival look! Again, I embrace yellows and browns to create a long-lived Western-themed style. Focussing on the accessories, the esteemed cowboy boots with fringing and a PB Teen backpack to match, I’m imitating the festival look with a Borgo De Nor floral midi tea dress and a Brixton Coleman fedora hat- the Wild Wild West style indeed!

My Lady in Tweed

Natasha Zinko, an expert of the tweed with her wool-silk crosshatch mini skirt in a pastel green. As cropped as this skirt may be, a knitted sweater chosen from Alexandre Vauthier’s AW17 collection, adds to the pastel palette I’m exploring within this look. Liudmila’s leather lace-up boots of Drury Lane and a vintage-inspired sailor cap in yet again a pastel pink. Cruella Deville makes a brisk appearance with her thick framed cat-eye sunglasses from Le Specs Luxe. I give you ‘My Lady In Tweed’.

Sporty Stripes

Finally, Alexander Wang’s, Balenciaga is headlining at this year’s Coachella with Sporty Stripes in red and white. Her Missguided bardot playsuit is like indulging in festive candy canes. Ironic, I know! I’m obsessed with the distinct retro feel touched by Celine’s SS18 runway collection in a squared aviator frame and yet again the quilted belt bag. Sporty Stripes, let’s get fit!
